Watercolor Pouring Workshop with Purnell Pettyjohn
Wednesday and Friday, July 17 and 19, 2024
9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Tuition: $150
Location: Lynchburg
This is a fun process of layering color. You will be masking areas that you want to save as a medium or light value. Bring 1 quarter sheet and 1 half sheet of Arches 140# Cold Press paper. We will be working on two paintings in a “sitting”. Do draw your subject matter before you get to class! Colors needed: Winsor Yellow, Perm. Rose, Cobalt Blue and Indigo. You will need an old towel. I will have 4 jars for each student.

Students will need to draw 2 separate close up busts (head, shoulders and chest) before class. Either use a quarter or half sheet of Arches cold press 140# paper. The portrait should be drawn lightly with a no.2 pencil. Be accurate because this class is not a "drawing class".
