Gamblin oil paints hail from Portland, Oregon and are on the forefront of archival practices in the oil paint industry. Their colors are rich with pigment and your options are vast.
We now carry Gamblin's FastMatte line, an alkyd-based paint, which dries faster than regular oils and dries to a matte finish rather than a gloss. Great for under-painting! Gamblin also makes their own line of mediums that focus on archival properties. Gamsol, the lowest vapor emitting solvent on the market, is a great (and safer) alternative to your typical turpentine or mineral spirits. |

We have three lines of Winsor & Newton oils to choose from:
Artists' Oils: this series of professional grade oil paint has a high pigment concentration and is sure to please. Winton: an inexpensive student grade series for those on a budget or those who are trying oil painting for the first time. Artisan: this line is water-soluble and does not require strong smelling solvents...it also makes for an easier clean-up. (Currently available only at our Lynchburg location.) |
